Welcome to the Dacula Athletic Association Basketball. Due COVID-19, there will be vast changes in the way the 2020 winter season will operate and be administered. The information in this document provides you with an understanding of the changes we made this season.

We were recently notified by Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation (GCPR) that we can have access to the Rhodes Jordan Park gymnasium, in Lawrenceville, to administer our 2020-2021 basketball season. Our access to the Rhodes Jordan Park gym will be, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 PM - 9 PM and Saturday, 9 AM – 2 PM.  

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) gyms are currently not available to us; therefore, all games and practices are limited only to Rhodes Jordon Park gym.

Due to out gym limitations, we will have to operate at 50% capacity of past seasons. The decrease in normal capacity will affect the number of teams and ages we offer this winter season.

The following changes to this 2020-2021 basketball season are subject to change:

Registration Process:

• Registration will close December 1, 2020

• Registration fee is $180. Sibling discount applies to the family’s second participant

• There is a $90 fee for residents located outside of Gwinnett County.

• Payment plans will not be available and enrollment will be on a first come first served basis

• No walk-up registration

• Uniform fittings will not be allowed.  Visual fittings will be available

Program Structure:

• We will only have teams for ages 7/8 – 13/14. 

• We are not offering a Coed 5/6-year-old, Boys 15+, and Girls 13+ year-old leagues this season.

• Girl’s divisions will be split into 7-9-year-old and 10-12-year-old. 

• The number of teams in each division will be limited to four (4) or five (5) pending enrollment

• Each team will be limited to 8 players.

• In accordance to GCPR guidelines, a limited capacity of 100 people will be allowed in the gym area at one time. This excludes officials, players, coaches, and staff.
